I’m a big fan of Pfaltzgraff. Having seen these dishes up close in the store, I can tell you the above picture just doesn’t do them justice. The scalloped edge, and the contrasting blue and yellow borders really set them apart from the others. These are no ordinary stoneware dishes. In fact, I’ve seen much more [costly] stoneware dishes that weren’t half as nice. Anyway, I use my Pfaltzgraff dishes for a wide variety of occasions, and never fail to get many favorable comments. They set a truly stunning table.

I have had this set for 1.5 yrs now. I loved it when I got it as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, all of the pieces now are covered in silverware marks from everyday use. I have tried the Pfaltzgraff cleaner to no avail. I have also tried to email Pflatzgraff directly with no respone. The set is now so bad I am going to have to replace it and try another brand. Overall, I am totally disapointed!! The set is beautiful but not worth the money.

I replaced my old, never been chipped, stoneware set after 20 plus years to purchase this set. The first month out of the box we already have several plates that have chipped and don’t know when or how it happened. We are an adult couple with no children and are not hard on our dishes. I loved the pretty pattern but because of the silverware marks and easy to chip I can’t recommend this stoneware to anyone. Very disappointed.

My sister got me involved with this Pfaltzgraff pattern and I am so happy she did. The stoneware is of very good quality and the colors are all very uniform. I do notice that it is a little easy to get scratches on the plates, but the Pfaltzgraff cleaner takes the scratches out quite easily. I recommend this pattern as there are many great pieces to go along with it. If you don’t care for this pattern, Pfaltzgraff offers many others. Enjoy!

Very “happy” spring set, nice colors and designs, I love it! Pictures don’t do these justice. The dishes are very nice sizes, and the bowls and mugs are great! Mugs are a very nice size, bigger then your standard mug. Bowls are very nice for the are deeper rather then wider as alot of sets are. Great set!

These are the perfect dishes — bright, cheerful, sturdy, whimsical. I love the colors! Much of their charm, to me, stems from the fact that they coordinate, but don’t match. I have two sets – one blue and one red. They are so fun and happy looking. I ordered mine from another vendor, but they were packaged well, and arrived in great shape. It’s only been a few weeks, but they are holding up well in the dishwasher and the microwave. I have owned Pfaltzgraff before, and these seem to live up to the name. No problems so far. If you want warm, happy dishes, you can’t go wrong with Pistoulet.

We hesitantly bought this Pflatzgraff pattern after a bad experience with the Pfaltzgraff Napoli Pfaltzgraff Napoli 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4. We ordered from Amazon in case there was breakage like many reveiwers mentioned (besides the fact that we order everything from Amazon). The dishes arrived very well packed – in original Pflatzgraff packaging and then overpacked by Amazon – and all was in excellent order. For a few days we handled the dishes with kid gloves due to the Napoli experience but then fell into our normal routine of rushing through kitchen cleanup, throwing things into the dishwasher, clinking plates and bowls and cups along along the way…just normal everyday banging around (my 16 year old son loads and unloads the dishwasher so careful handling has gone out the door). I am very happy to report that these dishes are holding up very nicely – no chips or breakage, even with a few drops onto countertops and hardwood floors. The dishes have a very bright and cheerful pattern and are well made. I think they will hold up very well. They have gone through about 8 weeks of 3-times-a-day daily use and still look brand new. The dinner plate is average size, the bowls are deep and the cups are the right size for a good cup of coffee. The little dessert bowls are cute (if a man can use that word) and my wife loves to fill them with every kind of new dessert she can think of. I would prefer some of these desserts in the larger bowl myself but that has nothing to do with these dishes…
Overall, these dishes look good and are solidly sturdy for everyday use.
Update: After almost 1 year of daily use (and abuse) I am happy to report still not a chip to be found. I am duly impressed.

After owning the Pfaltzgraff Yorktown pattern for over 25 years, I decided to replace them because I just wasn’t ever going to wear them out and I wanted a change. After the durability of the Yorktown set, I decided to stay with Pfaltzgraff. I hadn’t looked at patterns at years and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful some of the current patterns are. The Pistoulet is incredibly cheerful. I love everything about them–the colors, the sizes (the 2 bowls are great), the glaze, the weight. I couldn’t have designed a pattern that I would have loved more.

I already had several sets of this dish in the brown, yellow and greens and while they were true to color in their pictures, this particular dish was more red than expected and the dinner plate has this weird almost white swirl in the center. I was slightly disenchanted upon first glance but I have to admit that they look pretty good next to the other colors (of the same style). I enjoy these sets especially b/c of their low price and they really look more expensive than they are.

I, too, was impressed by the beauty at a low price. However, upon opening the package a plate was completely shattered. I took it home from the store myself and I know the box wasn’t jostled in any way. So, I agree with the previous reviewer that the packaging needs improvement.

I love the dishes. One thing you can’t see in the photo is that the rims are that brownish ceramic color though. Also Target/Amazon need to package these better – I had several sets on my wedding registry and it took far too many replacement orders before I had complete unbroken sets.
